KPop Demon Hunters is now streaming on Netflix, and I have to say—this is quickly becoming a must-watch. Even if the plot doesn’t fully grab you, the pop music alone makes it worth your time.
The film released on Friday, June 20, 2025, and if your YouTube feed is anything like mine (especially if you follow a lot of animation reviewers), you’ve probably already seen a wave of reactions, reviews, and breakdowns. If you haven’t watched it yet and you’re trying to dodge spoilers, I highly recommend you check it out ASAP.
If I’m being honest, the movie’s plot isn’t the strongest or anything to write home about, but the animation is vibrant and fun, and the music has me in its claws. “Soda Pop” is now firmly in my Spotify rotation along with all the other songs (and it seems like it has a lot of others in its grips too since every song seems to have millions of listens).
Right now, it’s streaming exclusively on Netflix, though there may be a free trial option through Prime’s connected services if you don’t have a subscription. If you’re unable to watch the film right now but still want to stay in the loop, this video by Korean Comic on YouTube does a great job summarizing the plot and even includes some of the humor:
Also, if you aren’t planning to watch the movie you can at least enjoy the major hits that has been living rent-free in many people’s heads lately by watching this compilation video:
