Can you all believe it’s December already? (And thank goodness for that!) This has been a wild year–both off and on the blog. With 2020 finally coming to a close (and so many people do a round up of the things that went wrong this year), we decided to do a quick round up of some things that went right here at The Anime View:
We added two members to the team, Jenna Morgan @jkmorgan-media and Casea Mhtar @madamekrow. Both have made some fantastic contributions this year with Jenna working behind the scenes to prepare our launch on Youtube next year in 2021 and Casea writing up some of fantastic posts on beloved classics, like Yu Yu Hakusho.
We upped our posting schedule to weekly, when before it was pretty much a random will-we-won’t-we, and have aims to kick out even more content next year!
We also made a solid switch to publishing our own works rather than just reblogging stuff we like from across Tumblr.
Finishing Out 2020:
• For all of December, we’ll be posting our remaining notes from throughout the year–things that, for whatever reason, kept getting moved back in our editorial schedule.
• Since the last two weekends of the year are holiday weekends, we have no plans to make any long form posts on either December 26th or January 2nd. Instead, on both Christmas and New Year’s Day we will be posting short messages on here and our Instagram to all of you following. (Though we can’t fully promise that no new content will come out since Peggy tends to write a lot during the holiday season.) Casea also has plans to release a new mystery-post on the 15th, so be on the lookout for that!
Thank you all for making this a great year at The Anime View! We look forward to writing more for you all next year! We’ll be sure to list out some of our goals on the first, but let us know if there’s anything you want to see from us anytime before then and we’ll see about adding it to our goals!
We look forward to hearing from you all, since this blog is as much yours as it is ours!
As a reminder, we are open to submissions as well as suggestions. Our Editorial Guidelines page is free to view here: https://theanimeview.com/editorialguidelines
We’re hoping to transform this blog even more over the next year and welcome any volunteers looking to help with that process. Feel free to message us here @theanimeview if you have any questions!
To close out here, we wanted to say…
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! May all your holiday plans come through with great joy and success!!
