The Obelian Royal Family: Claude and Athanasia, Revisited

If you’re reading this, you might have already read some of my many other posts on Who Made Me A Princess, particularly the post I made on Claude and Athanasia’s father-daughter dynamic. In this analysis, I want to discuss how their relationship is shifting in the opening chapters of Season 2.  Last time, I said that I thought Claude’s personality was appearing in Athanasia, “This aside, … Continue reading The Obelian Royal Family: Claude and Athanasia, Revisited

Chapter 47

Okay, holy smokes. I just read chapter 47 and how shocking!  Claude is suddenly acting all cold like he was in the book, and I wonder if it’s because he lost a good amount of magic or because of some curse that has been hinted to earlier. It might be a while before we find out completely, but–in the meantime–let’s look at the imagery of … Continue reading Chapter 47

In a Hello Kitty-esque art … Continue reading Aggretsuko: An ASAP Must See

I rewatched a few Yu-Gi-Oh episodes recently and…

I was reminded of what happens in the Doma the Dark Organization Arc based on the interactions Yugi has with his friends.   I love that particular arc because of how some of the characters react when Yugi’s soul is gone. Like, until then they only sort-of believed that Yami was another person with a different soul, but also not really, more like they thought he was a … Continue reading I rewatched a few Yu-Gi-Oh episodes recently and…

The Obelian Royal Family: Claude and Athanasia

I’ve been rereading the webcomic in preparation for new chapters coming soon (I hope) and I have begun to wonder about how Claude view’s Athanasia in relation to her bloodline. Let me explain:   Athanasia’s grandfather was “a tyrant obsessed with riches” while Claude is more attuned to leisure and pleasure than his predecessor. Athanasia, as we know, is obsessed with gold (for her run-away fund), … Continue reading The Obelian Royal Family: Claude and Athanasia
